protest!

so i went to a protest today against trump's #muslimban shit. that's another virginity lost because it was my very first protest, apart from pride in sunderland in 2015. but pride is no longer seen as a protest now, is it? it still should be a protest though. i went to the muslim ban protest with the femsoc bunch and we made some signs together to show support.

this was the sign i made and i think it was easy to tell that the last sentence wasn't planned because the spacing went wrong LOL at least it provided some sort of comical effect. someone told me to write it in chinese so i did. it says "nobody is illegal on earth". i think i was pretty easy to spot in the crowd because only i had a mandarin sign hahaha

 

the crowd was larger than i had expected and apparently about over 2000 people came to the protest. that was a great turnout. i also saw tons of funny signs and one of them was this:

 

honestly though, trump is way too insulting to a piece of shit, that person was just being nice. we chanted and sang some things and raised our signs. it was cold and windy. i stayed at the protest for about an hour and decided that i was too hungry to keep staying so i left.

 

this was the crowd around 630pm. right around grey's monument, the monument of the guy who found earl grey tea hahaha but he didn't get a chance in the picture.

i wanted to get a hot bowl of vietnamese soup noodles but it closed at 6pm :( ugh i was so looking forward to it when i was on my way there only to find a dark shop with closed doors. nevermind, i'll get some tomorrow. i ended up going into nudo sushi and getting a seaweed onigiri. that's it. then i came back, took a fortune cookie from the reception desk, came into my room and took a shower before having dinner. i ate a banana, then the onigiri with a bowl of miso soup, and had the fortune cookie for dessert. also made ceylon tea. it was pretty funny when i cracked open the cookie and found how accurate the message was LOL

 

"CAN'T COOK, WON'T COOK" omfg like LOL i didn't cook at home today because i thought it would be too late for dinner, that's why i bought onigiri. can't cook cause it's too late, won't cook cause it's too late. imagine if someone else got this particular fortune cookie and was very eager to see how their fortune would turn out, they'd be super confused because what the fuck does this even mean as fortune? the people who make messages like this for fortune cookies should be fired.

i also didn't get my most wanted game in my mailbox today. i sent in a claim to see if GAME could do anything. i really want the physical copy. can't wait for ninja gaiden and assassin's creed though, hopefully they won't be too long.

that's pretty much everything that happened and didn't happen in my day. and i got a hole in my finger.
