COCK YEAR.

HAPPY CHICKEN YEAR!!! ok it's the year of the rooster. it's my year! oh wow time flies and it's the second time i experienced the year of the rooster. the last time was 12 years ago (duh) and now we've come a full circle eh. i think i gave away my age hahaha

since today is the first day of chinese new year, i wore a whole bunch of red and purple for luck. it didn't really get reflected on my day but i suppose i'm lucky in a sense that i got woken up by my flatmate at 9 in the morning because she was laughing like a witch. at 9am. what the fuck?

and i finally got kfc for lunch. remember i said i wanted hot wings? well i got hot wings. like 6 of them. and a zinger burger with coleslaw and fries and a mineral water. i didn't finish everything apart from the wings and now i vow to never eat anymore fried chicken again in 2017. then i watched the movie, sing. they sang really nicely in the movie and i'm curious about the voices behind those characters. it was a great cartoon and it sort of reminds me of myself because i love singing and shit but i just don't have enough guts to pursue it. awwww a single tear. i hope in 2017 everyone has the courage to pursue what they love. because... "don't let fear stop you from doing the thing you love". easy to say though. heh.

after that i walked around and had a look at this brownie bar that a friend had told me about, and i got a gluten free and dairy free chocolate pistachio brownie. it was a little... well, mushy but the flavors weren't bad at all. then opposite the brownie bar was the GAME store and naturally i walked in and had a look at the vita games they have in store. i got nothing from the store but i did get something from amazon because again, my excuse is it's chinese new year, and it's cheaper than getting them in malaysia and i'm not sure if they even have the physical copies of these games.

assassin's creed is RM97 on the digital store and i got the preowned physical copy for only £12, and that's about RM66, that's around RM30 off! ninja gaiden was RM92 on the digital store, and i got the new physical copy for £18, and that's about RM100, extra RM8 for a physical copy? that's a bargain. though the currency rate is today's rate hahaha it might change but hey! seize the day!

then at night i had my chinese new year dinner with my ex flatmate. we went for indian cuisine and it was ok i guess. we've got a discount card so ehhh it's alright.

 poppadoms! pretty standard though it's larger than malaysia's.

 paneer pakora with a mint and yogurt dip. i totally forgot that paneer is a type of cheese, plus the yogurt dip??? that's my dairy free diet getting fucked up for the day. i hope it doesn't affect my body too much. this was tasty though.

that's my goan fish curry on the left, chicken briyani on the top, bhindi masala on the top right, pilau rice on the right, and raita in the middle. the fish curry was nice. honestly we couldn't finish everything and i feel so bad. but i managed to eat 3/4 of the fish though, i was really stuffed from kfc! or from the guilt after having kfc. could be both.

hmm tomorrow i'll be heading to chinatown with a friend to have a look at the chinese new year celebration event they will be having. i guess it'll just be the lion dance and a bunch of curious locals with their kids on their shoulders blocking everyone's view. tomorrow is also my friend's birthday so we'll be getting a soy hot chocolate, on me. then we'll be heading to hers in the evening for the birthday celebration thing. free cake! i really need to keep track of my dairy intake ugh.

i'll also be a doing a different post soon. the post will be about me answering thought-provoking questions i should ask myself to see how introspective i might be. i might do it tomorrow or the day after. we'll see.
